Simple Butter Cake (Eggless)


An easy and tasty egg-free recipe made with butter, flour, sugar and baking ingredients. Unlike other cake recipes, it is made with basic ingredients without any frosting and topping issues and served as an evening snack. a recipe without oven and with pressure cooker used for cooking in steel cups.


Cake recipes have always been one of the most popular dessert recipes all over India. Most of the time, it is used as a celebratory dessert for a special occasion, but also used for a treat or a festival. That said, it can also be used as a snack and this particular butter cake recipe is an ideal snack with a moist and smooth texture.


Preparation time: 5 minutes

Cooking time: 30 minutes

Ingredients:


200 grams butter (room temperature);

200 grams sugar;

¼ tsp yellow food colour;

1 tsp vanilla extract;

200 grams maida;

30 grams milk powder;

1 tsp baking powder;

¼ tsp baking soda;

¼ tsp salt;

1 cup buttermilk.


How to prepare?

  • First put 200 grams of butter and 200 grams of sugar in a large bowl.

  • Use a hand beater and beat it on a low speed for atleast 5 minutes or till the butter turns whitish in color. Scrape the sides and keep beating if necessary.

  • Additionally, add ¼ teaspoon of yellow food coloring and 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract.

  • Continue beating until well combined.

  • Now, add 200 grams maida, 30 grams milk powder, 1 tsp baking powder, ¼ tsp baking soda and ¼ tsp salt. Mix till its well combined.

  • Also, add 1 cup of buttermilk and mix well.

  • Take small katori or cups. Grease it with oil. You can also use cupcake molds.

  • Put a baking (butter) paper at the bottom to prevent it from sticking.

  • Pour the mixture into the katori and double tap.

  • To bake the cake in the cooker, add 2 cups of salt or sand to the bottom of the cooker.

  • Put a plate and close the cooker, heat 10 minutes over medium heat. Be careful not to catch the seal and whistle.

  • Now place the katori into the heated cooker.

  • Cover and cook over medium heat for 30 minutes. Alternatively, you can bake in an oven preheated to 180 degrees for 30 minutes.

  • Finally, enjoy the tea time cake or the butter cake without eggs once completely cooled.
