Mushroom soup (Good for Diabetic people)

For all those diabetic people out there, this recipe is a perfect and healthy version of soup having low carbohydrate level and low glycemic index which makes it perfect to have in evening. Mushroom is rich in potassium and also keep blood pressure under control making it even more beneficial. Women with Pcos for weight loss can enjoy this soup without a second thought. So let's try making this recipe.

 

Preparation time: 10 mins

Cooking time: 10 mins

 

Ingredients:

3 cups Mushroom thickly sliced;

1 tsp Oil;

1/2 cup Onions, chopped;

2 tsp Whole wheat flour;

1 cup low fat milk;

Salt as per taste.

 

How to prepare?

  1. Heat oil in a deep pan.

  2. Add onions and saute on a medium flame for a minute.

  3. Add whole wheat flour, mushroom and 1 cup of water. Mix well and cook for about 5-6 minutes while stirring occasionally.

  4. Remove from flame and allow it to cool.

  5. Now combine the mushroom mixture and milk and blend it to a smooth paste.

  6. Transfer the mixture in pan. Add salt, pepper and 1 cup of water. Mix well and cook it for 2-3 minutes. Stir it occasionally.

  7. Serve it hot.
