One of the healthiest and delicious recipe of all time. Mix dal Chilla recipe is so tasty and satisfying for your hunger that you love to have it for breakfast or snack. These thin savory pan cake with lentils are made with a batter of all mixed dal with addition of ginger, green chillies and other ingredients which makes it both tasty and filling. Being easy recipe it requires only an hour of soaking and no fermentation so you can make it whenever you need to have it. So let’s prepare this healthy recipe.
Soaking time: 1 hour
Preparation time: 5 minutes
Cooking time: 25 minutes
1/4 cup Green moong dal (Split green gram);
¼ cup Yellow moon dal (split yellow gram);
21/2 tbsp. Urad Dal (split black lentils);
1 tsp. Green chilli paste;
½ tsp. Ginger paste;
¼ tsp. turmeric;
¼ tsp. Red chilli powder;
¼ Hing (asafoetida);
2 tbsp. coriander, finely chopped;
Salt as per taste;
21/2 tsp. Oil for cooking.
How to prepare?
Firstly, mix add dal in a bowl with enough hot water. Cover the lid and set it aside for 1 hour. Drain the water well.
Combine the dal which is soaked and drained with ¾ water in a mixer. Blend it till smooth.
Transfer mixture in a deep bowl and add rest of the ingredients. Mix it well.
Heat the tawa (I used non-stick). Pour the ladleful of batter and spread it evenly to make a thin circle.
Using ¼ oil, cook till it turns golden brown from both the sides.
Serve it with chutney.
