Recipe Info:

A healthy low fat chicken recipe with yogurt and high on proteins and low on carbohydrates.


Preparation time: 20 mins

Cooking time: 1 hr 20 mins



1/2 kg Boneless chicken (cut into medium pieces or as you like);

2 cups Yogurt;

1 tsp. Cumin powder;

1 tsp. Garlic paste;

1/2 tsp. Red chilli powder;

Pinch of Turmeric powder;

1/4 tsp. Garam masala;

2 green chillies slit;

2 chopped Onions;

1 chopped Tomato;

Coriander for garnishing;

2 tsp. Oil;

Salt as per taste.


How to cook?

  1. In a mixing bowl, add yogurt, cumin powder, garlic paste, garam masala, turmeric powder and red chilli powder. Mix it well.

  2. Add chicken pieces to the above mixture. Add green chillies and let it marinate for about 30 minutes.

  3. Heat oil in a pan and add onions. Cook till the onions are soft and translucent.

  4. Add tomato and sauté it for a minute.

  5. Add the marinated chicken.

  6. Let it cook till the gravy reaches the consistency. If you want it dry cook till yogurt curdles around chicken. Add salt.

  7. Garnish with coriander leaves.
