Dhokla Chaat is a very simple and refreshing Indian fusion recipe that tops soft and fluffy dhoklas with yogurt, chutney and vegetables such as chopped onions, coriander leaves and green chilly, plus a little spice, sev and pomegranate. This recipe is mainly used as a side dish for snacks, breakfast or dinner.
Dhokla Chaat is a mixture of the classic Gujarati snack "Dhokla" and Indian street food "Chaat". In this preparation process, the soft and fluffy Dhokla plays an important role in the Dhokla-Chaat formula, similar to Papdi from Papdi-Chaat or Alloo-Tikki from Aloo-Tikki-Chaat. Here, Dhokla serves common chat dishes such as various chutneys, yogurt, sev, chopped vegetables and some spices.

Preparation time: 10 minutes
1 Khaman dhokla mixture;
2 tbsp. Sweet tamarind chutney;
2 tbsp. Green chutney;
1/4 cup Yogurt;
1 tsp. Sugar;
1/2 tsp. Chaat masala;
1/4 tsp. Cumin powder;
1/4 tsp. Chilli powder;
1/4 tsp. Black salt;
1 medium sized Onion, chopped finely;
2 tbsp. Coriander leaves;
1 finely chopped Green chilli;
1 tbsp. Pomegranate arils;
3 tbsp. Nylon sev.
How to prepare?
Take yogurt in a mixing bowl. Add sugar and whisk it. Keep it aside.
Steam dhokla as per instructions mentioned on the packet. Do not add seasoning. Let it cool at room temperature.
Pour curd mixture on dhoklas.
Add green chutney, tamarind chutney one by one on top.
Add chaat masala, cumin powder on dhokla.
Add onion, chopped green chilli, coriander leaves one by one.
Add nylon sev and pomegranate arils on top.
Sprinkle red chilli powder and black salt in the end.
Dhokla chaat is ready to serve.
