Here are soft, delicious, and perfectly flavored Hara Bhara kebab recipe that is made super easy with peas, potatoes, spinach, and spices. It has a delicious chatpata flavor that is perfect as a starter. Serve with a green hot chutney and enjoy these Hara Bhara kebabs. Serves: approx. 15 kebabs
2 cups Spinach Leaves;
1/4 cup chopped Coriander Leaves;
2 boiled and mashed Potatoes;
1 cup blanched Green peas (Matar);
1 inch finely chopped Ginger;
2 cloves finely chopped Garlic;
1 tsp. roasted Fennel seeds;
3 chopped Green Chillies;
1/2 tsp. Amchur (Dry Mango Powder);
1 tsp. Chaat Masala Powder - as required;
1/4 cup Gram flour (besan);
Salt as required;
Oil shallow fry;
1/2 cup Whole Wheat Bread crumbs.
How to prepare?
Add the spinach, coriander leaves, green chillies, ginger, blanched peas in a blender and stir until smooth.
In a large bowl, add the boiled potatoes, green mixture, salt, Amchur powder, besan and masala powder. Mix well to combine. Add 2 tablespoons of bread crumbs if the Hara Bhara kebab mixture feels too fluffy.
Divide them evenly and make the patties round and disc-shaped.
Heat a tawa over medium heat. Put the disc shaped Hara Bhara Kebab, fry on one side over medium heat and drizzle with oil while cooking.
Once the bottom of the Hara Bhara kebab is golden brown, turn it over and cook the same way on the other side. Drizzle with oil as needed to brown it and prevent it from burning.
When you are re done, take the Hara Bhara Kebab onto a serving plate, optionally sprinkle more chaat masala on top, and serve hot.
