Recipe Info:

Rich in iron and calcium this drink is good for health especially during summer season where you feel low in energy and want to charge up your energy levels. This recipe can also be made during fast or vrat as well.


Preparation time: 10 mins



1/4 cup Almonds;

1/4 cup shelled unsalted pistachios;

1/4 cup Cashew;

1/4 cup Raisins;

7-8 chopped dates;

2-3 chopped dry figs;

1 pinch saffron;

2.5 cup Milk;

Sugar - As required;

Dry Fruits for Garnishing.



  1. Soak figs in hot water for about 25-30 minutes.

  2. Once the figs are soft, chop them.

  3. Chop dates as well.

  4. Rinse the rest of dry fruits except saffron.

  5. Add dry fruits in a mixer.

  6. Add 1/2 cup milk and blend to fine paste.

  7. Add the remaining 2 cups of milk. Add sugar as required.

  8. Blend again and pour in glass.

  9. Garnish with dry fruits and serve it immediately.


Pinakin's notes:

If figs are dry are chewy and hard then soak it in hot water. If they are soft no need to soak them. Apart from regular milk you can also make use of almond milk or soy milk for preparation.
