With coconut cream and Goan chilli bombs one cannot stop the craving for this mouth watering recipe.

 

Preparation time: 10 minutes

Cooking time: 1 hr 10 minutes

 

Ingredients:


4-5 crabs;

8 Kashmiri chillies;

1 tbsp. Chilli paste;

1 cup grated coconut;

15 cloves of Garlic;

1 inch Ginger;

1 tbsp. Coriander seeds;

1 tbsp. Cumin seeds;

1 tbsp. Cinnamon;

10-12 black pepper corns;

1 tsp. Turmeric;

Salt as per taste;

1 tbsp. Oil;

1/2 cup Water;

2 onions cut into short, thin strips;

3 tbsp. tamarind extracts;

2 tbsp. Jaggery;

1 tsp. Lime juice;

2 tbsp. Coconut cream;

12 cloves.

 

How to cook?


  1. In a pan add kashmiri chillies, grated coconut, ginger, garlic, cloves, coriander seeds, cinnamon, black pepper corns, turmeric powder. Roast them well till the aroma releases.

  2. Add it to the mixer with salt and grind them.

  3. To the masala add little oil, water and grind the mixture well to fine paste.

  4. Now in pan heat oil and add onions.

  5. Add the masala paste to onions and saute it well.

  6. Add tamarind extract and jaggery and stir it well.

  7. Add the crab and pinch of salt.

  8. Add water and cover with lid.

  9. In a tadka pan add chilli paste.

  10. Add this tempering to the crab.

  11. Add 5 tbsp of tamarind extract, jaggery and lime juice.

  12. Cover and let it simmer.

  13. After a while take out the crabs and add coconut cream in the curry.

  14. Add crabs and little lime juice.

  15. Serve hot with steam rice or Indian bread.

 

Pinakin's tip:


Add Goan chilli bombs for better taste. If you are not able to get them, add 2 tomato and 4 green chillies. Grind it well.
