Recipe Info:

Delicious recipe with chicken pieces marinated and cooked on skewer with a twist of tasty peanut sauce.


Preparation time: 10 minutes

Cooking time: 30 minutes



For chicken marinade:

1 boneless chicken (cut in diced);

1 tbsp. Oil;

2 tbsp. Soya sauce;

1 tbsp. Sugar;

4-5 tsp. Lemon Juice;

2 tbsp. crushed Garlic;

Salt as per taste;

Pepper as per taste;


For Peanut sauce:

1 large Onion;

1 Garlic;

4-5 Red chilly;

2 tbsp. Oil;

1 cup Peanut butter;

2-3 Lemon juice;

1-2 tbsp. Sugar;

Salt as per taste;

4 cups of Water.

For Basting Sauce:

4 tbsp. Peanut sauce;

3 tbsp. Soya sauce;

2 tbsp. Oil.


How to prepare?

Marinate Chicken:

  1. Marinate the chicken with the ingredients mentioned in marinate process and set it aside for atleast 2-3 hours.

  2. Pierce 4-5 pieces of chicken in skewer.

Peanut sauce:

  1. Grind the onions, chillies and Garlic.

  2. Heat oil in a pan and saute the onions paste for few minutes. Mix peanut butter, add salt and sugar. Stir it well. Pour water and cook until it gets smooth. Add lemon juice and turn off the gas.

For basting sauce:

  1. Mix the peanut sauce with oil and soya sauce.

For satay:

  1. Add skewered chicken on the grill. When done cover it with basting sauce. Let it cook for 5-10 minutes.

  2. Serve hot with peanut sauce.
