Chicken in White gravy


Chicken in White gravy is a delicious and flavorful gravy cooked in a yogurt base, topped with white pepper powder. Best served with garlic naan and pickled onions for a complete meal.


Chicken In White Gravy is a simple chicken gravy that you can make for weekly night dinners. Chicken cooked in a simple base of ginger, garlic, onion, diluted with a little yogurt, which not only makes the gravy, but is the souring agent of this delicious chicken dish.


Ingredients:

300 grams Boneless chicken;

1 cup Curd (Dahi / Yogurt);

2 tbsp Salted Butter;

1 thinly sliced Onion;

3 tsp. Ginger Garlic Paste;

1-1/2 tsp. White pepper powder;

1 tsp. Salt

1 Pods/Seeds of Cardamom (Elaichi);

1 Cinnamon;

Coriander Leaves, for garnishing;

1 Tomato , for garnishing.


How to cook?

  • To start making the white gravy chicken recipe, first melt the butter in a pressure cooker. Add the onions, cardamom and cinnamon and sauté until the onions are golden brown.

  • Then add the ginger garlic paste and sauté for a few minutes until the raw smell is gone.

  • At this point, add the curd and mix well. Then add the chicken pieces, salt and white pepper powder and mix well.

  • Add 1/3 cup of water and close the lid of the pressure cooker. Cook under pressure for 2 whistles and turn off the gas.

  • Once the pressure is released, transfer it to a serving bowl.

  • Serve the chicken in a white gravy with garlic naan and pickled onions for a complete meal.
