Butter chicken Pani puri

Do you like Pani Puri? Do you like butter chicken? No need to go anywhere because this Indian appetizer recipe is just a great combination of the two. Do it for your home parties and we're sure you'll love it.


Preparation time: 30 minutes

Cooking time: 20 minutes

Serves: 15


Ingredients:

To make butter chicken

1 shredded Chicken breasts;

1/4 cup Hung curd;

1 inch finely chopped Ginger;

4 cloves finely chopped Garlic;

1 tsp. Coriander powder;

3 tsp. Red chilli powder;

1 tsp. Dry mango powder (amchur);

1 tsp. Cumin powder;

1 tsp. Garam masala powder;

1 tsp. Honey;

1/2 tsp. Oil;

1/4 cup tomato puree;

1/8 cup Tomato ketchup;

1 tsp. Dry fenugreek leaves (Kasuri Methi);

2 tbsp. Mint leaves;

2 tbsp. Coriander leaves;

2 tsp. Lemon juice;

Salt as per taste;

2 tbsp. Salted butter.


To prepare mint yogurt dip:

1/4 cup Hung curd;

1/4 cup Green chutney (Coriander and mint);


To assemble:

Puris used for making pani puri;

Onion finely chopped;

Coriander leaves for garnishing;


Ingredients:

  • At first we need to marinate chicken. Wash chicken thoroughly and drain out water.

  • In a mixing bowl add curd, ginger garlic paste, turmeric powder, red chilli powder, coriander powder, raw mango powder, cumin powder, garam masala, honey, mustard oil, tomato puree, tomato ketchup, kasuri methi, mint leaves, coriander leaves, lemon juice and salt. Mix it well.

  • Add the shredded chicken breast in marination and mix it well till all spices are well combined. Rest it for 30-45 minutes.

  • In kadai, heat butter and add all contents of butter chicken marination. Cover and let it cook on a medium flame for about 15-20 minutes or till its done. Allow it to cool.

  • You would need a semi gravy butter chicken for this dish. Cook till masala is properly coated and chicken is cooked properly.

  • Now let's assemble butter chicken pani puri.

  • Place the puris in a platter, lightly tap the top of the puri make a half inch hole.

  • Fill about half a tablespoon of butter chicken, serve it with chopped onion, drizzle mint yogurt dip and coriander leaves.

  • Serve it.
