Bebinka or Bibik is a shortcrust pastry similar to a Goan dessert, made from coconut milk, eggs, butter and flour. Traditional Bebinka has seven to sixteen layers, but you can eat as much as you want. Preparation takes time and patience. Delicious dessert, but the end result is worth it, you will not be able to resist this dessert.
Preparation time: 5 minutes
Cooking time: 1 hour
200 gms. of Refined flour (Maida);
10 egg yolks;
500 gms. Sugar
200 ml. Coconut milk;
5 gm. Nutmeg powder;
200 gms. Butter.
How to prepare?
First, mix coconut milk, flour, sugar, nutmeg and egg yolk in a bowl and make a batter.
Take a oven proof dish and grease it with a spoon on melted butter. Pour 75ml of butter in the dish and spread it evenly.
Bake it till it turns golden brown.
Spread another spoon of butter and pour another 75ml of batter over it and spread it evenly.
Repeat the process till all the batter is used up.
Let it cool. Cut into slices and serve it.
